Obesity has become one of the biggest problems of the modern world – some call it a civilization disease, others a result of laziness and lack of discipline. In reality, the line between genetics, lifestyle, and personal responsibility is increasingly blurred. Food corporations flood the market with highly processed products, and ads for “fit” foods often hide toxic ingredients. More and more attention is also being paid to the influence of stress and poverty – it’s cheaper to buy fast food than vegetables. So is obesity a choice, a disease, or the result of a system that feeds our addiction to sugar?
