Revelations, prophecies, and strong premonitions have fascinated and divided people for centuries. For some, they are a direct message from God or supernatural forces; for others – the result of an extraordinary sensitivity of the mind. History contains accounts of dreams that supposedly saved lives and of animals that behaved unnaturally before earthquakes or tsunamis, as if sensing the coming danger. Supporters of such phenomena see them as proof of the existence of a dimension that science still cannot explore. Skeptics consider them coincidence, autosuggestion, or overinterpretation.
