Religion and ethics in schools have long been a source of heated disputes. Supporters of compulsory classes argue that morality and spiritual values should be the foundation of education, and that without them young people easily fall into nihilism and consumerism. Opponents see it as an attempt to impose ideology and restrict worldview freedom – they point out that Poland still pays the price for the privileged position of the Church. Part of society demands neutral ethics instead of religion, others would like to completely remove both subjects and move moral upbringing to families and communities. Or perhaps schools should simply remain free from such disputes? Cast your vote in the poll!
