Destiny

How do you think destiny works in a person’s life?

The topic of destiny has divided people for centuries into fatalists and supporters of free will. Some believe that everything, from birth to our last breath, is written in the “book of life” by God, fate, or other forces, and our choices are only an illusion. Others are convinced that there are certain “turning points” written into the script, but the road between them depends entirely on us. Skeptics reject destiny altogether, seeing it as an excuse for inaction. Increasingly popular is also the theory that we live in a simulation and our fates are the result of code written by someone “on the other side of the screen.” Do we really have any influence over our own lives?

Telepathy

Do you believe that telepathy is a real phenomenon that can occur between people?

Telepathy has sparked both fascination and skepticism for decades. Some claim it is proof of the existence of deeper, invisible bonds between people, while others see it as merely a romantic myth fueled by literature and pop culture. Scientific research has not provided conclusive evidence, yet reports of “thought transmission” between close individuals keep resurfacing, often in extreme situations or moments of strong emotion. Is it a hidden ability of the brain, a remnant of ancient evolutionary mechanisms, or rather a coincidence we like to interpret as something magical? Perhaps we are simply afraid to admit that we know more about each other than we would like to.

The debate over whether women should serve in priestly roles divides communities of the faithful like an old dispute over dogmas. Supporters of change invoke gender equality, secular laws, and the example of some Protestant churches, where female bishops and pastors no longer surprise anyone. Opponents stress fidelity to the Holy Scriptures and the tradition in which the priesthood has for centuries been reserved for men. Conspiracy theories also appear – from an alleged elite plan to break the foundations of the Church to “spiritual engineering” aimed at changing its identity. Is this a step toward renewal, or the beginning of the erosion of the sacred?

Humanization of Animals – Dehumanization of Children

Do you think that modern laws and social narratives lead to the dehumanization of children (e.g., through the legalization of abortion on demand) while increasingly “humanizing” animals and imposing severe penalties for harming them?

It is increasingly common to get the impression that modern law works against common sense. On the one hand, there is growing acceptance of abortion on demand, which for many is equivalent to stripping unborn children of their humanity. On the other hand, the brutal treatment of animals is met with increasingly harsh penalties, and their legal status is approaching that of humans. Some see this as a moral decline, others as civilizational progress and proof that empathy is no longer selective. But where is the line beyond which protecting the life of an animal becomes more important than the life of a human?

Manifestation or manipulation?

Do you believe that repeatedly promoting a certain narrative or the belief of many people in a given statement can actually lead to its realization or recognition as truth?

In the era of social media, which can create a hero or a public enemy within hours, the question of whether a repeated narrative can become a self-fulfilling prophecy takes on special significance. History knows numerous cases when propaganda and collective belief changed the course of events. Meanwhile, the popular modern concept of the “power of manifestation” takes us all the way to quantum physics and the so-called “observer effect.” The line between fact and social construct blurs when millions repeat the same slogan. Is this still science, the influence of crowd psychology, or already mind programming?

Do you think that people who are in a relationship are perceived as more attractive than singles?

The “taken partner” effect is a phenomenon that some may find fascinating and others morally questionable. Psychologists claim that the human brain reacts to the signal “someone has already chosen this person” as confirmation of their value – like a recommendation in the world of emotions. Critics see it as proof of our competitive nature, which makes us desire someone else’s property. An evolutionary theory? Or perhaps just plain jealousy dressed in scientific words? Is it instinct that tells us to pursue what is already taken?
