Israel in European competitions – sport or already politics?

Do you think Israel should take part in European championships (e.g. in football, basketball, Eurovision), even though geographically it is located in Asia?

Israel has for years stirred controversy with its presence in European sports and cultural competitions. Football, basketball, and even Eurovision show that geographical borders are increasingly giving way to politics and geopolitical calculations. Supporters of Israel’s participation in Europe justify it with security concerns and the practical lack of an alternative in Asia, where the country would be isolated. Critics, however, ask why an Asian country benefits from the privileges of European federations while at the same time conducting a harsh war policy toward Palestinians. Comparisons to Russia, excluded from many competitions, and accusations of double standards are appearing. Is sport really free from politics, or is that just a convenient illusion
