Renewable Energy – Investment in the Future or an Illusion of Savings?

Do you agree with the statement that despite society’s investment in renewable energy sources, electricity prices have risen because energy companies aim to maintain their profits?

Although millions of people are investing in solar panels, electricity bills continue to rise. Increasingly, voices suggest that despite the energy transition and renewable energy support, major energy companies keep prices high to avoid losing profits from traditional sources. Companies, however, explain that rising costs are due to inflation, expensive grid modernization, and EU climate regulations. The debate continues over whether the transition truly lowers prices or merely shifts profits between sectors. Are we paying more for green energy because it’s more expensive – or because someone doesn’t want to lose from the change?
