Why don’t we divide votes by gender, age, sexual orientation, education, place of residence, religion, or political views?
Such segmentations are the domain of commercial research centers. The results of their analyses are sold as reports to politicians, media, and corporations, which use them to create precisely tailored advertising, political, and sometimes even propaganda campaigns. History also knows particularly controversial cases – such as Cambridge Analytica, which harvested Facebook data and used it for micro-targeted political campaigns. We do not collect such data and deliberately want nothing to do with it. Our goal is to create a space where everyone can anonymously express their opinion and confront it with the voice of the entire community.
Where do the differences between our polls and surveys by other research companies come from?
Companies and institutions such as Gallup, Pew Research Center, YouGov or Statista operate based on classic public opinion research methods. We take a different approach. We do not conduct street surveys or polls on controlled, pre-selected groups. Our questionnaires are completed exclusively by people active on the internet. We try to avoid typical solutions like the Likert scale, which in our view often blur the true picture of opinions. Our polls also include answers that a large part of society finds meaningful – even if they may be controversial, unscientific, or associated with conspiracy theories. We believe sincerity and authenticity are more important than filtering views through political or ideological correctness. That’s why major institutions, especially those linked to the state, rarely allow such options. We prefer to ask directly and give people space to answer without limitations. The result? Our poll outcomes may differ from those published by traditional institutes, but their strength lies in showing the true voice of the community – without filters, half-measures, or propaganda.
