Poland and the peace talks in Washington

Do you think Poland, given the enormous support it has provided to Ukraine, should have been invited to the peace talks in Washington (18.08.2025)?

The Russian-Ukrainian conflict has divided public opinion for years, and Poland’s support for Kyiv is undeniably immense – from billions spent on aid to hosting millions of refugees. That is why the absence of Warsaw at the peace talks in Washington raises questions about Poland’s real position on the international stage. Some argue that Poland earned a place at the table, while others say it is not formally a party to the war and its presence could only make negotiations more difficult. Added to this are the tensions in Polish-Ukrainian relations, which weaken Warsaw’s arguments. Is Poland’s exclusion a matter of cold calculation or a deliberate marginalization of an ally?
